Wiley Bird Sr.

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of our dad, Wiley M. Bird, on June 17, 2026. Words cannot fully capture the sadness we feel. We are grateful for the many happy memories we shared, and he will be truly missed.

Wiley M. Bird was a man of great character who dedicated his life to being an exceptional engineer, contributing his deep knowledge to aerospace and defense projects. He had a passion for religion, science fiction, and basketball. As a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he valued time spent with his family and enjoyed fishing trips with his son and grandsons. He was kind, generous, a loyal friend, and a gentle soul. To his family, his legacy is one of love and support.

While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in the many beautiful memories we created together. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 22, 2022, at Mount of Olives Church in Mission Viejo, California. In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Wiley M. Bird. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
