Hannelore B. Weyermann
Hannelore B. Weyermann, a beloved family member, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Orange County, California. Born on January 13, 1938, in Wesermünde, Germany, she was the daughter of Karl and Johanne Mausehund. In 1956, she married Rolf Hermann Peter Weyermann in Bremerhaven, Germany. Their journey together took them to Long Beach, California, in 1957. Over the course of their 70-year marriage, they raised three children Andreas, Thomas, and Bruce and cherished the joy of having one grandson, Alex.
Hannelore was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. Her passing at the age of 88 leaves behind her spouse, Rolf, two sons, Andreas and Bruce, and her beloved grandson, Alex. Hannelore’s memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Hannelore possessed numerous remarkable qualities. She demonstrated exceptional intelligence and showcased her educated side in managing her finances while simultaneously completing college and raising her three children. For two decades, she dedicated her life to education as a teacher’s assistant within the Los Angeles School District, working with children with intellectual disabilities. Hannelore held immense pride in her new American heritage as a German immigrant and raised her children with Rolf, speaking exclusively in English saying you must speak English first. However, she also instilled in them a deep appreciation for their German roots by taking them on family trips to Alpine Village and the Phoenix Club. As a den mother for the Cub Scouts, she was incredibly proud that all three of her children achieved the highest rank in Boy Scouts, becoming Eagle Scouts. Hannelore’s adventurous and curious nature was evident in her regular outings with the family to Long Beach, Ports of Call, where they would play around the ocean. They also embarked on road trips in a tiny Datsun pickup truck equipped with a camper shell, exploring various destinations, including parks, city monuments, national parks, and historical sites. As her children grew older, Hannelore and Rolf embarked on numerous cruises and other global adventures. Wherever Hannelore traveled, she effortlessly connected with people and relished sharing her captivating stories and life experiences. Her genuine curiosity about others’ stories and experiences made her a beloved figure. Those fortunate enough to know Hannelore will forever carry a piece of her in their hearts.
A viewing, services, and reception will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, California.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the dedicated doctors and caregivers who provided our dearly beloved “Hanne” with unwavering assistance, peace, joy, comfort, and love throughout her final year of struggles.
